SMS Opt-In Disclosure

This page documents every way end users consent to receive text messages from Ethereal, Inc, including the exact consent language we use in each opt-in path.

Program Description

Ethereal, Inc operates Ethereal Office, a 24/7 AI receptionist that answers phone calls and sends text messages on behalf of home-service businesses. Messages are transactional and conversational: missed-call follow-ups, appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, and replies to inbound inquiries. We do not send marketing or promotional blasts.

  • Message frequency varies based on the user's interaction (typically a few messages per service request).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase.
  • Mobile numbers and opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Terms & Conditions: ethereal.glass/terms — Privacy Policy: ethereal.glass/privacy

Opt-In Path 1: Verbal Consent During a Phone Call

When a caller phones an Ethereal Office line (for example our own line, +1 (302) 240-3151) to request service or a callback, the receptionist first collects the caller's name and callback number, then asks for text consent using this exact, word-for-word script:

"Would you like to receive text updates about your appointment at this number? Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out."

Text messages are sent only if the caller answers yes. If the caller declines, no messages are sent. The caller's answer is recorded with the call log. This script is built into our receptionist software and is read on every booking call before any text is promised or sent.

Opt-In Path 2: User Texts Us First

Our number is published on our website at ethereal.glass/ethereal-office ("Call or Text Our Demo Line") together with this disclaimer, shown directly beneath the number:

"By texting +1 (302) 240-3151, you agree to receive conversational text messages from Ethereal, Inc related to your inquiry, demo, or appointment. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."

When a user initiates a conversation by texting first, we reply only within that conversation. Users who text an opt-in keyword (below) after having opted out receive the enrollment confirmation message.

Opt-In Path 3: Website Form

Business owners can request a free pilot of Ethereal Office through the form at ethereal.glass/ethereal-office. The form collects the business phone number and displays this consent language directly above the submit action — there are no pre-checked boxes; consent is given actively by submitting the form after this disclosure:

"By submitting this form, you agree to receive calls and conversational text messages from Ethereal, Inc about your pilot at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."
