🔧 Bug Fixes

Fixed: Network Connectivity on Public Networks

  • Firewall rules now apply to ALL network profiles (Private, Domain, and Public)
  • Previously, users with their network set to "Public" could not receive video streams
  • This was the root cause of "panel not displaying" issues for some users

Installation

  1. Download EtherealHost-1.1.7-Setup.exe
  2. Run the installer (signed by ETHEREAL, INC)
  3. If SmartScreen warns, click "More info" → "Run anyway"
  4. Get Ethereal Planes on your Quest from the Meta Store
  5. Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network
  6. Launch Ethereal on your Quest and connect to your PC

How to open the app →
  1. Right-click the app in your Applications folder
  2. Select "Open" from the context menu
  3. Click "Open" in the dialog that appears
  4. You only need to do this once — subsequent launches will work normally

Installation

  1. Download EtherealHost.dmg
  2. Open the DMG and drag Ethereal Host to your Applications folder
  3. Launch the app — it will appear in both your Dock and menu bar
  4. Grant Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions when prompted
  5. If macOS shows a security warning, right-click → Open → Open
  6. Get Ethereal Planes on your Quest from the Meta Store
  7. Connect from the Ethereal app on your Quest
